When are building inspections required, and what is required?

Please read below for further explanations regarding building inspections.

Refer to your Construction Certificate which outlines which mandatory inspections are required from the below list.

Select the necessary inspection to find out more details on what is required.

  • the commencement of building work;
  • footings, after excavation and prior to placement of concrete;
  • prior to pouring any in-situ reinforced concrete building element;
  • framework, floor, wall, roof prior to covering;
  • stormwater including absorption trenches;
  • waterproofing wet areas;
  • final;
  • infrastructure-drainage, roadworks etc.;
  • pool fencing prior to filling the pool;
  • special inspections if the circumstance arises.
