Tilligerry Creek

The Tilligerry Creek catchment covers around 10,000ha of largely sandy low lying land crossed by hundreds of kilometres of open drains and natural watercourses. Tilligerry Creek is also home to a significant portion of Port Stephens oyster industry which is worth $2.4million each year.

To ensure all sectors of the community have input into the implementation of the Catchment Management Plan, Port Stephens Council is establishing a Tilligerry Creek Catchment Committee.

Membership in this committee will give individuals the opportunity to be directly involved in the improvement of the Tilligerry Catchment.

The implementation of the Tilligerry Creek Catchment Management Plan is every bodies responsibility.
