4WD on the Stockton Sand Dunes

Beach Vehicle Permits

A Beach Vehicle Permit is required if you would like to access Stockton Beach in your 4WD vehicle.

The Beach Vehicle Permit (BVP) system is now managed by National Parks & Wildlife. 

Permit Types 

Normal Registration   

• Annual  - $30 
• 3 Day - $10 

Conditional Registration

• Annual - $30 
• 3 Day - $10          

The NSW Pensioner Discount is $15. You must show Certificate of Registration where the RTA has applied the pensioner discount.

For both types, the applicant must show the registration papers are endorsed for Stockton.     

Replacement passes are $10.

Each pass is issued to vehicle, not to the applicant. The pass must be displayed and is valid until midnight on the expiry date written on the pass.

A 3 Day pass is the date of issue plus two subsequent days, i.e issue on the 8th, valid 8th, 9th and 10th, expiring midnight on 10th.
