Fighter World

Fighter World is a showcase of Australian Fighter and aircraft related history, providing a unique insight into the past and the present.

Located adjacent to the entrance of Royal Australian Air Force Base Wiliamtown, the home of Australia's Strike Fighter Force, Fighter World showcases the important role a potent Fighter Force plays in the defence of a nation.

Fighter World embraces Australia's rich fighter heritage, painstakingly earned by Australian men and women of the squadrons who flew fighter aircraft.

As part of your visit to Fighter World you will experience first-hand the day to day operations of an active Fighter Base including guided tours and hands-on experiences quite unlike any other Australian aviation museum.

'Home of the Hornet'

Fighter aircraft including Mirage, Sabre, Spitfire replica and many more.

Observation deck

Hands on displays – hop in a jet cockpit.

Audio visual and interactives and aircraft models .

Group tours of the RAAF base (Mon – Fri only groups must pre-book and provide own bus).

Fighter World is a unique experience for visitors to the Hunter Valley region. Located just 20 minutes North of Newcastle in New South Wales, Fighter World is a showcase of Australian Fighter Aviation history with an insight into the present day.

Located at the entrance to the Royal Australian Air Force Base, Williamtown, just off Nelson Bay Road, Fighter World is a dynamic view of the past integrated with the present and future of Australian Fighter Aviation.
